Hello there ! I’m Emilie Breslavetz : )

I’m a French experimental game designer and playful artist based in Paris. I make alternative controllers, playful installations and weird video games which I call my “Playful Machines“. I program interactive softwares for which I build physical and analog interfaces by mixing electronic components and crafting materials.

I like to explore new ways to play, gather people and express oneself by hijacking game mechanics or working on meaningful game design between physical and virtual media.

Over the past few years, I have worked on many other video games and prototypes in solo or on collaborative projects during game jam. You can find most of these games on my itch profile.

I am also working in duo with game developer and technical artist Léon Denise on several playful installations. Especially, we made Crashboard that we continue to showcase in numerous places and festivals. Together we created Incontrolab, a collective laboratory of techno-fun experimentations.

Since 2021, I have been part of the Cookie Collective with whom I expose some of my controllers during hybrid concert-exhibition events. The Cookie Collective gathers digital artists involved in real-time creation. This covers video games, art installations, video mapping, demoscene, algorave, etc.

Beginning of 2024, my associate Léon Denise and I joined Tatiana Vilela dos Santos and Olivier Drouet to be part of the association CTRL+ALT Baguette whose purpose is the development, diffusion and promotion of video game artistic creations combining tangible and digital works.

At the end of 2024, I started streaming on Twitch under my pseudo EmilieCorne. With this new activity, I want to explore alternative controllers as a performative medium by building original controllers to play existing games in a new way. I am also interested in creating new game mechanics between Twitch chat and my playthrough. At the same time, I also use this platform to discover various weird and unknown indie games.
